About Acyclovir:

Acyclovir is a synthetic purine nucleoside analogue. Mainly for herpes simplex virus caused by a variety of infections can be used for primary or recurrent skin, mucous membranes, external genital infection and immunodeficiency occurred HSV infection. For the treatment of HSV encephalitis drug of choice, reduce morbidity and reduce mortality are better than sugar glycosides.
